EventBrite Link

Thanks to generous support from the South West Doctoral Training Centre it is FREE to attend this event. There are up to 45 places available for PhD students and Early Career Researchers. We had planned to offer places on a 'first-come-first-served' basis but due to unexpectedly high demand, and in the interest of fairness, the selection criteria for attendance will now have to be narrowed. Please register to apply to attend the event by clicking on the 'Apply' button (below). This will re-direct you to our EventBrite page where you will be able to formally register your interest in attending the event by initially clicking on the green 'register' button on the right-hand side of the screen.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

WHO HAS BEEN SELECTED TO ATTEND WILL BE CLARIFIED

ONE MONTH PRIOR (18 OCTOBER) TO THE EVENT TAKING PLACE

We strongly advise all those applying to attend not to make travel arrangements until they have received confirmation of their place.

You will be provided with food and drink on the day (please e-mail organisers if you have dietary preferences). Cheap/Affordable items will be available to buy from the charity art exhibition so you may want to bring money in order to support the cause and take something home with you (cash-points are available on campus).

Short Bio Required

After registering for this event, please e-mail Oli Williams (osw21@bath.ac.uk) and/or Gareth Thomas (thomasg23@cf.ac.uk) with a short biography of around 50-100 words that outlines your current status and your research interests. This will be extremely helpful for selection purposes and for ensuring that those who are selected to attend can get the most out of the day.

Travel Bursaries

We are offering bursaries to three attendees (£50 each) to help cover travel costs. These are primarily for those who cannot apply for training/conference funds from their university departments/sponsors. To be eligible for consideration, please e-mail Oli and/or Gareth (using the e-mail addresses provided above) stating that you would like to be considered for a bursary and providing your 50-100 word biography.
